What is nanoplasty?
Nanoplasty is a newer smoothing treatment that works inside the hair fibre rather than just coating the surface. It's applied in the salon and sealed with a flat iron, leaving hair smooth, glossy and easier to style, with less frizz in humid weather.
BKT Nano Pro is a popular choice. According to BKT, the formula is formaldehyde-free, vegan and cruelty-free, and it contains Açaí Oil, Hyaluronic Acid, Lactic Acid and Biotin. Results last around 4 to 8 months depending on hair type and aftercare, and they build with each treatment. There are no harsh fumes, and hair can be washed straight after the service.

What is a Brazilian blowout?
"Brazilian blowout" is often used to describe a lighter smoothing service. It's generally quicker, gives a softer smooth with more movement, and tends to wear off sooner than a full keratin treatment. Like many keratin treatments, some Brazilian-style formulas have contained formaldehyde-releasing chemicals, and Australian regulators have previously recalled certain hair-straightening products over formaldehyde levels. Always check what's in the bottle.
